For our low cost servers we make them very simple, the simpler the server the less to go wrong and the easier to fix. We recommend “Araid” from http://www.accordancesystems.com because this system does not interact with the operating system making it more robust. This is one of the few raid systems where in an emergency you can use the drives without the raid controller.
For or high-end servers we recommend IBM. Why go second or third best when you can have IBM. IBM makes an excellent product and has excellent support.
